After a great launch in New Orleans, it’s time to think about the holidays. I love giving books as gifts. And even more than giving them, I like getting them (hint, hint…). So these two December events to which I’ve been invited will be like a pre-holiday smorgasbord! Care to dig in with me?
First, look for me at the Charlotte Observer’s “Authors for the Holidays” event on December 4 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Mint Museum Uptown. I’m very excited about this event, partially because Tony Abbott, my former English professor at Davidson College, will be there with his latest book of poems, The Angel Dialogs. It’s a great read!
After Charlotte, follow me to Asheville to the Biblioworks annual fundraiser at Laurey’s on December 6th. Biblioworks is an amazing little nonprofit that builds libraries for rural communities in Bolivia. These are often the first and only books the families here have ever seen. I’m proud to donate a portion of proceeds from that evening to this marvelous work! Get details here.
Holiday shopping? DONE!
